Next 28 January, the NiCE project will organise its second training for cities in connection with the winter Knowledge Society Forum taking place in brussels.
The NiCE training will focus on the Green Digital Toolkit, an online platform developed by the NiCE project as a main tool for cities in the roll-out of their Green Digital Charter commitments.
This platform, to be launched in January 2013, will enable cities to browse and share project and tools, exchange with each other, monitor their status in the Charter implementation, measure ICT carbon footprint and link the Charter activity to the Covenant of Mayor.
This training session will show cities how to:
- search the toolkit for tools
- assess their city’s green and digital activity
- share details of their own projects and tools
Each city will be provided with their own login to the toolkit where they will be able to collect favourite tools, capture their progress on the Charter, discuss experiences with other cities and share tools.
Although being mainly addressing Charter signatories, all cities are welcome to attend as the toolkit can be a useful support for green and/or digital cities action as a whole. Participants representing Green Digital Charter signatory cities will have their travel and accommodation costs reimbursed .
A limited number of laptops / iPads will be available for use, although participants are recommended to bring their own, together with a datastick or links to a website containing their material to share.
More information, including detailed agenda, logistics, registration and reimbursement rules, will be provided soon.
